Bent's old Fort reconstructed in the Virtual World

Bent's Old Fort is a historic site in La Junta. High school and college students from the area were given an opportunity to recreate this historic site online using Immersive education. Of course this task is not easy and it will not get done quickly. it will take about two years for those students to fully complete this historic virtual world. They are currently working every Wednesday to complete the task. Also they are using Minecraft to build Bent's Old Fort. 
Technology has been increasing through out the years and it is only becoming more and more accessible. Having a historic site available online betters the education of many to see what La Junta has. This could be a start to something great. I'm sure that if those students succeed in this process that there will be more historic sites from around the world to be seen virtually.
